DESCRIPTION:\nInteractive presentation by the Bucks County Orphans' Court Judges, The Honorable C. Theodore Fritsch, Jr. and The Honorable Brian T. McGuffin.  This unique opportunity for a “A View from the Bench,” with the Judges discussing recent cases and issues arising in the areas of Trusts, Estates, Guardianships, Incapacity, Powers of Attorney and Fiduciary Law.  The Judges will address recent trends in the kinds and number of cases coming before the Orphans’ Court.  The Judges will also discuss procedural issues and changes with the Orphans’ Court.  Judge Fritch, as the Administrative Judge of the Orphans’ Court, has broad insight into the evolution of the Orphans’ Court practice over the last few years and where it may be headed.  And as a new member of the Orphans’ Court, Judge McGuffin provides a unique outlook coming from the other Courts of Common Pleas.  The presentation provides a special opportunity for the Members of the Bucks County Estate Planning Counsel to raise questions and issues with the two sitting Orphans’ Court Judges and discuss alternatives and solutions, and as importantly, how to avoid having to go to Court in the first place.\n
