Based on his years of experience, Mike will be giving a presentation entitled How to Work with the IRS. From Mikes book on How to Work with IRS: Second Edition (June 2014), and his experiences both at the IRS (28 year career) and in the private sector since August 2011 Mike presents insights on how to address issues with different divisions at the IRS.   As an example the estate and gift classification process is followed from start to finish to provide insight.

Mike will provide insights with a dozen examples on how the application of neuroscience can be used resolve conflicts with the IRS.  After this introduction key information on the structure of the IRS, how the structure may impact the audit process involving business valuations for estate and gift tax returns, and provide insights that will be helpful to practitioners who are navigating the audit appeals or litigation process on behalf of their clients.

He has conducted nearly 500 mediations since 2000 for the IRS, within the MN Court system and with his firm.
