This meeting will include a continuing educational program about a Plan for Aging from 8-9 a.m. Then we will have a short membership meeting starting at 9 a.m.

As people age, they become increasingly concerned with two very important matters.  The first is planning to live with dignity in retirement.  This involves ensuring that their asset structure is arranged in a way that would allow them to have funds available to help them maintain their standard of living and get the most out of their retirement.  The second item of concern is how to cover the high costs of long-term care and still have a legacy to pass on to their heirs.

We will discuss how to use an expense and portfolio analysis to determine the probability of success in maintaining a person’s lifestyle and preserving their legacy.  We will also provide an overview of the costs for the different types of long-term care and how one can use various estate planning tools, such as powers of attorney and trusts to protect assets.
